Dr. K Teong Khoo

Dr. K Teong Khoo specialises in Palliative Care, Mental Health Care and Geriatric Medicine.

Dr Khoo graduated from the University of W.A. in 1970 and has had post graduate training in Palliative Care, Pain Management, Sexuality and General Counselling, Family planning and Geriatric Care. In addition, he worked for the Silver Chain Hospice Care Service for 5 years. Dr Khoo embraces a holistic approach to health care, giving equal emphasis to physical and emotional/spiritual aspects.

Dr. Joseph Thomas

Dr. Joseph Thomas specialises in Acupuncture, Heart Disease, Minor Surgery and Palliative Care.

Dr Thomas graduated from the University of Singapore in 1978 and migrated to Perth with his family in 1985. His special interests are in Palliative Care, Acupuncture, Pain Management and Minor Surgery, while embracing all other aspects of General Practice. He is a preceptor with the UWA School of Medicine and regularly has medical students sitting in with him.

Dr Thomas has varied interests outside of his work including the Church community and fishing. He is fluent in several languages including Malay, Malayalam, Tamil and Hokkien.

Dr. Gurdarshan Hans

Dr. Gurdarshan Hans joined our practice in 2008 and works at our Willetton surgery four afternoons a week.

He has a special interest in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Heart Disease. Dr Hans is fluent in several languages including Malay, Indonesian and Punjabi.

Dr. Harpreet Singh

Dr. Harpreet Singh joined our practice in January 2015, and he works at our Willetton surgery. He has a special interest in Minor surgery, ENT and Family Medicine. He is fluent in several languages.

Dr-Rekha-Nanda

Dr. Rekha Nanda

Dr. Rekha Nanda joined our practice in March 2017. She is interested in all aspects of General Practice including Chronic Disease management, Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, family planning, insertion and removal of Mirena and Implanon, Skin checks and excision of lesions.

She graduated from Calicut University India in 1999. After working for two years in Botswana Africa, she moved to Perth in 2004. She has also worked at the majority of Western Australia’s tertiary hospitals over the past ten years. Rekha became a Diplomate of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2011, before moving to General Practice and gaining her FRACGP in 2016. She is fluent in several languages including Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil.

Dr Kiran Puttappa

MBBS, FRACGP, PG Dip Diabetes (Cardiff)

Dr Kiran Puttappa joined the practice in 2018. He moved to U.K in 2001 and after gaining clinical experience abroad moved to Australia in 2003. He has a vast clinical experience as a medical registrar in various public hospitals in Perth and the Gold Coast and he has a special interest in complicated general medicine cases and Diabetes. He holds FRACGP and Post Grad Dip in Diabetes from Cardiff.

He also served as board member of RACGP (WA Faculty) from 2009-2013.

He is currently a senior examiner to RACGP and sits as a panel member of AHPRA.

Dr Kiran currently does not see any patients at Southlands Medical, but is actively involved in practice management and advice.

mayasa

Dr Mayasa Jasim

Dr Mayasa Jasim is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and holds a certificate for the Australian Medical Council. Before moving into General Practice, Dr Jasim worked in a variety of specialist units including; emergency medicine, mental health, geriatrics and rehabilitation medicine. She has a profound interest in women’s health and Breast Disease. Mayasa joined the team at Southlands Medical Services in 2018 and works at our Willetton surgery one day a week as well as the Breast Clinic at Royal Perth and Mount Hospitals. Mayasa enjoys General Practice and welcomes new patients.

Dr Win

MBBS, Diploma in Child Health, FRACGP, Professional Certificate of Aesthetics Medicine, Female GP

Dr Win is an Australian Trained Fellow doctor.

Dr Win graduated in 2012 and she has over a decade experience working in both hospitals and clinics of different settings.
